All internet marketers are familiar with these terms. Google’s AdWords and AdSense are the newest marketing trend and everyone wants a piece of the action. There is a ton of information all over the place saying how great these two marketing tools are, telling us to hurry up and sign with an affiliate company to launch a career in internet marketing.
What are AdWords and AdSense? Is there a difference between these two? People who are caught up in the excitement usually forget to mention the small details that differentiate the two. Sometimes it’s surprising how much these advocates don’t know. To be a successful internet marketer, you’ve got to be informed.
Google’s AdWords is based on a simple concept. Google users type words into the search bar and Google gives them some direction where to find the information. The internet marketing community refers to these words as keywords. Keywords direct a target user to certain advertisements or websites. Using advertisements that include these keywords, advertisers are able to have their ads included with the search results provided to Google users. This doubles the ad’s exposure.
Launching and managing a successful AdWords campaign is no simple matter. An unsuccessful AdWords campaign can cause the market to lose a lot of its advertising budget. AdWords is a pay per click program giving the advertiser unlimited exposure for a small fee. Usually the cost is less than one dollar, but it increase exponentially with time.
This AdWords concept has been applied to webpage owners using AdSense. AdSense lets owners of webpages pick keywords and topics relating to their page, Google then sends them ads from AdWords to include. This is meant to get more people to visit their page and hopefully buy whatever they are selling. When AdSense works, it benefits both parties.
If you still have questions about the connection between AdWords and AdSense, you can Google both terms for a thorough explanation as well as information on starting a campaign using either service.

You are simply tossing your money out the window if you do PPC Advertising and do not do keyword research. This type of research can be done with relative ease, and will steer you in the right direction to profitable PPC Advertising.
Many people wonder why should I do keyword research. The prime reason is to know what words people are typing when they perform searches. Using these keywords, you can help you to create better Text Ads for your Pay Per Click Advertisement Campaign. You definitely want to include the keywords in the Headline of the ad and the body of the ad. If you can have a URL with the keywords in it, that is a definite advantage. Simply put, the more keywords you have in your add, the more likely it is for someone to click on it. There is more to it than that though.
While it is important to know what keywords people are using to search, you have to be able to take that list and figure out which keywords will be the most effective in selling your product or service. As you do your research this list is sure to expand. However, once you develop a core list, you can create variations of this list using the new words as your big list grows. In order to build your keyword core list, you need to know where to start, know how to preform proper keyword research, and use some common sense.
Let’s use a person trying to sell cars as an example. Using Google Adwords you can determine how many searches were performed using the key words ‘cars’ or ‘used cars’ or ‘used cars for sale’ or even ‘used bmw for sale.’ In a real situation, the bigger your list of potential keywords, the better. However, for this example we are going to limit ourselves to 4.
You find that there have been 151,000,000 searches using ‘cars’ this month. Wow, 151 Million searches! You would think that is an awesome keyword. However, you are very wrong. It would be a waste of money to bid on the word ‘cars’, even if it is the most popular of your word list. Now, you are wondering, but why. The simple answer is that a person searching for ‘cars’ could be searching for any number of reasons. Therefore, it is not specific enough. What if all you sold were ‘used cars’?
Using that term will get you closer to the best keyword. Even that gets 550,000 searches a month. However it may not be exactly what you want. Again, you should be wondering why. If you only sell BMW cars, then you still need to be more specific. Do you understand what direction we are going now? You need to employ your common sense here. You need to find a list of keywords that is relevant to exactly what your are selling. In this case, ‘used bmw for sale,’ would be the best choice.
You should continue your research by including all cities you are selling to and maybe even narrow your research more by including a model number. For example, ‘used 325 bmw for sale in los angeles’. That would give you the most accurate information for your clientele.
